Hi! I’m Ananya Sutradhar. I’m currently an Anthropic Fellow, working on AI safety and alignment research. I enjoy building things, breaking things, and learning from both.

Previously, I was a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research India working with Ravishankar Krishnaswamy, Gopal Srinivasa and Navin Goyal.

At Microsoft Research (Team DiskANN), I worked on filter-aware distance metrics for efficient multi-filter nearest neighbor retrieval and evaluating Deep Research systems.

I am also a SPAR Fellow , working with Prof. Lionel Levine on Value Alignment and Character Training.

I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science and Technology from IIEST Shibpur in 2025. I also interned as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon during the summer of 2024.
